TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A real count update by the General Elections Commission or KPU still showed Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the lead. Citing the official website for KPU, as of Thursday at 11:00 p.m., Prabowo-Gibran garnered 65,049,492 votes or 58.89 percent.
The position was followed by Anies-Muhaimin with 26,581,455 votes (24.06 percent), and candidate pair number three, Ganjar-Mahfud, received 18,833,011 votes (17.05 percent).
This figure was recorded by the KPU from 619,578 polling stations or TPS out of a total of 823,236 polling stations.
Later, it was believed that the preliminary vote count results contained various types of fraud. The National Labor Axis Organization protested the violations allegedly occurring before and after the election.
According to them, the vote counting that was carried out by KPU through Sirekap showed efforts to engineer vote inflation to certain running pairs.
"The concrete evidence found at TPS 034 in South Tangerang, where [Prabowo-Gibran] garnered 86 votes but was automatically changed to 886 votes," said Endang. "If it is revised, more than 800 votes will just move to other polling stations. So the system (Sirekap) couldn’t be changed," said East Jakarta Labor Axis Chairman Endang Hidayat, when met on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.
Indonesia Corruption Watch and the Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (KontraS) also assessed that the problem of scanning Sirekap data regarding the 2024 Election had an impact on civil unrest.
"These various problems have sparked our doubts regarding KPU's readiness to hold the 2024 elections," said the Head of the ICW Political Corruption Division, Egi Primayogha, in a written statement on Thursday.
ICW and KontraS sent a letter requesting that election information be disclosed to the public.
"We asked for various documents related to planning, implementation, and budget from Sirekap and Sikadeka," Egi concluded.
