TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Ganjar-Mahfud national campaign team (TPN) officially established a special team aimed at combating alleged fraud that has marred the 2024 elections through both legal and political channels. The TPN assessed that the electoral frauds are not an isolated event, but rather a structured, systematic, and massive violation that permeates all levels of the electoral process.
The team, named the Ganjar-Mahfud Democracy and Justice Defense Team, is led by TPN Legal Deputy Todung Mulya Lubis and assisted by lawyer Henry Yosodiningrat as deputy chairman.
Parties supporting the pair, including the PDIP, the United Development Party (PPP), the Perindo Party, and the Hanura Party, agreed to the team establishment.
“Considering that what we are facing is damage to democracy and that the 2024 election has witnessed the most serious damage in the history of elections in Indonesia during the reform era, this special team is fighting for democracy, law, and justice,” said TPN Ganjar -Mahfud in an official statement received by Tempo on February 19.
The TPN expressed its appreciation for the enthusiasm of experts, pro-democracy community groups, IT experts, and civil society, who are willing to help in investigating allegations of fraud during the simultaneous elections.
Additionally, the Ganjar-Mahfud TPN has opened up the participation of all Indonesians who are willing to contribute to exposing various forms of electoral fraud and returning Indonesia to the path of democracy and the rule of law.
