TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Presidential candidate number 3 Ganjar Prabowo promised to build health facilities in every village in Indonesia during the 5th Presidential Debate. The program he built was entitled Satu Desa(One Village), Satu Faskes (One Health Facilities), Satu Nakes (One Health Personnel).
According to Ganjar, this policy is needed to improve the welfare of village communities. "We want them to get the best," said Ganjar in the final Presidential Candidate Debate in Jakarta on Sunday, February 4, 2024.
He said Candidate Candidate Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD wanted mothers, children, the elderly, people with disabilities and indigenous communities to have the same role in health services. Remembering, he said, people in isolated areas need access to good quality health care.
According to Ganjar, improving the health sector is the most important thing in building the personality of Indonesian society. Apart from improving health services, he also emphasized that preventive measures are the best. Therefore, he will encourage programs such as exercise and healthy eating.
Previously, Ganjar-Mahfud promoted the one village one health center program in their vision and mission. They want people to get number one health services throughout Indonesia. "People must easily get first-class health services," wrote the couple's vision and mission document, which Tempo quoted on Friday, October 27, 2023.
Ganjar-Mahfud stated that he would map the needs for providing or revitalizing community health centers in each village. Apart from that, they also want to guarantee the availability of doctors, health workers and essential medicines, as well as accelerate the digitalization of health services (telemedicine).
In their vision and mission document, the couple also promised to provide a Mobile Consul (KOLING) service if elected in the 2024 presidential election. This service will enable people to get health consultations without having to leave the house. Later, health workers will go around to residents' homes to provide services and collect health status data, as well as referral assistance.
The Indonesian General Election Commission (KPU) on Monday, November 13 2023, determined three prospective pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates to be participants in the 2024 Presidential and Vice Presidential Election (Pilpres).
The results of the drawing and determining the serial numbers for the 2024 presidential election participants on Tuesday, November 14 2023, the pair Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar with the serial number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka with the serial number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md with the serial number 3.
The KPU has also set a campaign period from 28th November 2023 to 10th February 2024, then the voting schedule is on 14th February 2024.
