TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi left today, Jan. 2, for Purworejo Regency, Central Java, to inaugurate public facilities including bus terminals and bridges.
The Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat in Jakarta informed that the President accompanied by First Lady Iriana and a small group, took off from the Adi Soemarmo Air Force Base in Boyolali aboard a Super Puma helicopter at around 06:35 local time.
Upon arrival at the Sarwo Edhie Wibowo GOR Helipad, the entourage proceeded to a traditional market to check the prices of various basic commodities.
After that, the state head was scheduled to inaugurate four terminals: Purworejo Terminal, Mendolo Terminal in Wonosobo Regency, Purboyo Terminal in Madiun City, and Patria Terminal in Blitar City.
He will then head to Cilacap Regency to inspect the Integrated Waste Disposal Site (TPST) of refuse-derived fuel (RDF) Jeruklegi. He will check rice supplies and distribute rice assistance at the State Logistics Agency or Bulog’s Gumilir Warehouse.
President Jokowi will also hand over land certificates to the people at the Pertamina Premium Indoor Tennis Building. In the afternoon, he was set to travel to Banyumas Regency, where he will meet with farmers from all over Central Java Province at GOR Satria after inaugurating the Tajum Margasana Bridge, the Tajum Karangbawang Bridge, and the Jurug B Surakarta-Karang Anyar Bridge.
