BMKG Warns of Potential Heavy Rain with Lightning in Jakarta Today

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency or BMKG forecasted that rain will pour over part of Jakarta today, December 29. It said the rain will fall at noon until night and midnight.
All parts of Jakarta areas will be cloudy, said BMKG. At midday, several areas such as West Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta are expected to see light rains. The rain will cover all of Jakarta area except the Thousand Islands which will remain cloudy.
After a few rainy days, BMKG issued a warning calling on the public to be aware of potential heavy rain with lightning in several areas in South Jakarta, West Jakarta, and East Jakarta in the afternoon and at night.
On early Saturday, the rain will remain in several areas, namely West Jakarta, East Jakarta, North Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands.
The air temperature in West, South, and East Jakarta is expected to be around 24 degrees Celcius. The highest temperature is forecasted to be in South Jakarta, West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, and North Jakarta at 30-31 degrees Celcius.
Meanwhile, the air humidity is forecasted to be around 75-95 percent to 80-95 percent.
