Whoosh High-speed Train to Add Trips in Anticipation of Christmas and New Year Holidays

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT KCIC will add Whoosh high-speed train scheduled trips from 40 trips to 48 to anticipate a spike in passengers during the Christmas and New Year holidays. The total of seats available for Whoosh reached 28,000 per day. 

General Manager Corporate Secretary PT KCIC, Eva Chairunisa explained that the additional trips are available for departure from Dec. 22-26, 2023.

"The addition is implemented to accommodate passengers who are expected to increase during the Christmas and New Year holidays," she said in a statement on Thursday.

Eight additional trips are provided during passengers' favorite hours, in the morning and afternoon. Those include the departure from Halim Station at 09:10 a.m.WIB (Western Indonesia Time); 11:30 a.m WIB; 02:30 p.m WIB; and 07:15 p.m. WIB. And departure from Tegalluar Station at 07:55 a.m. WIB; 09:10 a.m. WIB; 02:30 p.m. WIB; and 06:00 p.m. WIB.

The additional trips are also followed by adding more Feeder Trains to Bandung Station and Cimahi Station, where the schedules have been adjusted with the arrival from Padalarang Station.

The tickets to Whoosh can be reserved through all available channels, such as the Whoosh application, ticket.kcic.co.id website, Vending Machine for tickets, and the official ticket counters at stations. 

The tickets can also be obtained through Access by KAI, Livin by Mandiri, BRImo, and BNI Mobile Banking.

"KCIC hopes by adding more trips, more passengers will be able to experience traveling with a shorter duration," Eva said.
