KAI Surabaya Offers 12.12 Train Promo Ahead of Christmas and New Year Holidays

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - In anticipation of the Christmas and New Year holidays, PT KAI operational area 8 Surabaya offers a 12.12 promo with 20 percent discounted train tickets. The promo is available for economy, business, and executive trains on December 12 to 13, 2023.

The public relations manager of KAI Surabaya Luwman Arif stated that the promo was given to improve passenger services during Christmas and New Year holidays.

This promo, he added, is available for departure dates of December 15 2023 to January 8, 2024. This promo can be obtained through all channels of KAI reservation except at the station's counter and ticket boxes.

"Hopefully this promo could boost public enthusiasm to travel using the comfortable, secure, and safe during the Christmas and New Year holidays," he said in Surabaya on Sunday, Dec. 10.

This promo could not be merged with other types of discounts or special fares. "This promo can be canceled or amended in accordance with existing regulations," he said.

Meanwhile, the train routes available for this promo are:

-Ambarawa Ekspres from Surabaya Pasarturi - Semarang Poncol (round trip)

-Argo Bromo Anggrek from Surabaya Pasarturi - Gambir (round trip)

-Gaya Baru Malam Selatan from Surabaya Gubeng - Pasarsenen (round trip)

-Jayakarta from Surabaya Gubeng - Pasarsenen (round trip)

-Majapahit from Malang - Pasarsenen (round trip)

-Sancaka from Surabaya Gubeng - Yogyakarta (round trip)

KAI Surabaya serves 50 departures of long-trip trains, consisting of 44 regular trains and 6 additional trains during this Christmas and New Year holidays. Additionally, in 18 days, KAI Surabaya provided around 422,676 seats, or a 3 percent increase compared to last year in the same period.
