Meanwhile, the Agam Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) said that after finding the last victim, the joint SAR operation was planned to be closed.
"All the victims have been found. The last one was no longer alive. With that, the search and rescue commanded by Basarnas colleagues, according to the results of the evaluation meeting and the victims have been found, our SAR operation is closed," said Ichwan Pratama Danda, BPBD Agam's head of emergencies and logistics.
However, Ichwan said, BPBD Agam will keep its emergency response post open and active, so that those who are still looking for their family members can communicate and coordinate with the team at the post. "We suggest coming with valid documents to the post because speaking by phone could cause miscommunication," he said.
Ichwan appealed to people around Mount Marapi not to carry out any activities within a radius of three kilometers from the peak. Residents in four nearby sub-districts are advised to reduce outdoor activities and to wear face masks when they do.
He also asked the public to remain calm and not be easily provoked or spread unverified information. The community, he said, must follow the directions and advice from the local government.
