TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe 212 Alumni Brotherhood or PA 212 held the 212 Reunion dubbed the Munajat Kubro 212 at the National Monument or Monas, Central Jakarta on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023. In addition to praying and showing support for Palestine, the organizers also raised funds to help the Palestinians.

"We’d like to convey that there is a man who did not want to be named, he donated $10,000," said one of the coordinators of the event, Muhammad Hanif Bin Abdurahman Alatas, from above the stage.

Other donations came from majlis or Islamic organizations across Indonesia. Based on TEMPO’s observation, the donation was handed symbolically to the committee of the event. All of the donations collected in the fundraising would be channeled to Palestine.

The committee also distributed charity bags around which they called 'sunduk'. Dozens of committee members were tasked with carrying the yellow plastic bags sunduk, throughout the Monas area.

"If you want to donate, help Palestine, you can give it to the committees bringing the yellow plastic bags that read 'Galang Donasi Munajat Kubro 212'," said the committee.

The organizers called on the attendees to not give donations to other than the medium that has been provided. "Apart from the ones in the yellow bags, they are illegal," he said.

Deputy of PA 212 Secretary-general Novel Bamukmin said that hasil rekapan donasi hari ini would be announced soon.

Dozens of Islamic figures and ulema reportedly attended the Munajat Kubro 212 event. Novel said that at least, 70 Islamic organizations and around 3 million people attended the event.
