President Jokowi Arrives in Dubai to Attend COP28

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi arrived in Dubai yesterday afternoon. Jokowi is there to attend the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28), the Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat said in a written statement.
The Indonesia-1 Presidential Plane carrying President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and a small team of delegates landed at the Al Maktoum International Airport, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) at 16:25 on Thursday, 30 November.
The president was welcomed by the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs Thani Al Zeyoudi, the Indonesian Ambassador to the UAE Husin Bagis, the Indonesian Defense Attache in Abu Dhabi Brigadier General Muhammad Irawadi, as well as the UAE Ambassador to Indonesia Abdulla Salem Obaid Al Dhaheri.
Jokowi then got on the provided vehicle and was driven to the hotel where he would stay throughout his time in Dubai.
At the hotel, President Jokowi was welcomed by Coordinating Minister for Maritime and Investment Affairs Erick Thohir, Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya Bakar, and Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Nadiem Makarim.
