Ministry of Home Affairs Awards Provinces and Districts with Successful Villages Development

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) through the Directorate General of Village Governance (Bina Pemdes) organized the Village Innovation Week (Pindeskel) 2023. The event was held for three days from November 10-12, 2023, at Lapangan Banteng, Jakarta.
Inspector General (Irjen) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Tomsi Tohir Balaw, representing Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, said that Pindeskel is an event to showcase various successes and innovations that have been made by local governments and villages and sub-districts.
The innovations awarded are judged on governance, territorial, and community administration. "This activity is also a forum for consolidation and information sharing for strengthening village and sub-district governance and innovation in their respective community," he said.
Also attending the event were the Acting Director General of Village Governance La Ode Ahmad P Bolombo, the Secretary of the Directorate General of Village Governance Paudah, and directors within the Directorate General of Village Governance.
In addition to showcasing village and sub-district innovations, the Ministry of Home Affairs also gave awards to provinces and districts/cities in the Pindeskel event.
They are considered to continue to provide guidance to villages and sub-districts so that they can fulfill their obligations in carrying out their duties and functions, and encourage progress in their regions.
The award recipients for the implementation of village and sub-district development evaluation guidance in 2023 in the category of the highest filling coverage at the provincial level are DKI Jakarta (100%), Banten (99.81%), DI Yogyakarta (94.29%), Balin(94.27%), and West Sumatra (93.36%).
The fastest-growing development category is divided into two, for the provincial and district levels. For the provincial level, awards were given to Bali (87.43%), DKI Jakarta (84.27%), DI Yogyakarta (82.65%), West Sumatra (60.95%), and East Java (60.24%). And for regencies/cities was given to Tabanan (100%), Denpasar (100%), Mojokerto (98.36%), Subang (94.47%), and Gresik (93.82%).
The award for the implementation of village and sub-district profile data guidance in 2023 was given to the province with the highest percentage of updating. These provinces are DKI Jakarta (95.88%), Bali (89.53%), West Java (85.11%), Banten (79.83%), West Kalimantan (78.37%).
Lastly, the regencies/cities that have villages with the highest percentage of self-sufficiency classification were awarded to Kudus (75.00%), Pasaman (56.76%), Tabanan (48.12%), Banjar (36.00%), and Lima Puluh Kota (34.18%).
