Indonesia Exports 243 Tons of Fisheries to China

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono released 243 tons of fishery products packaged over nine containers to be exported to Fuzhou and Xiamen, China.
"We have just released our first export by PT Menara Bahari Nusantara that cooperated with the world's second-biggest market China," Trenggono said on Thursday.
The fishery products exported include 189 tons of squids, 27 tons of mackerel, and 27 tons of frozen pomfret amounting to Rp18.7 billion. The information was stated by the Director General of Marine and Fisheries Product Competitiveness Budi Sulistiyo.
The export released in Muara Baru, Budi added, has fulfilled all requirements to conduct export, from the Certificate of Good Manufacturing Practices (SKP) to the approval number to export to China.
Budi also reported that there are more potential importers from China interested in Indonesian fisheries. These products include squid, mackerel, red snapper, silver white croaker, and grouper reaching 58,000 tons with Rp3.4 trillion of value.
