TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - National flag carrier Garuda Indonesia in tandem with state lender Bank Mandiri is set to hold the Garuda Indonesia Travel Fair (GATF) 2023 in seven major cities simultaneously from October 27 to 29, 2023.
“We are trying to be closer to the people by giving them opportunities to get various attractive offers by holding this program simultaneously in seven big cities in Indonesia,” the airline’s President Director Irfan Setiaputra said in Jakarta, Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2023.
Irfan said the annual travel fair is not only the company’s sustainable effort to support the national tourism sector, but also to boost the growth of air travel, especially during the year-end holiday period.
Arsena Permasadhie, the airline’s Vice President, added that this year’s travel fair will be held simultaneously in seven major cities, namely Jakarta, Medan, Bali, Makassar, Palembang, Surabaya, and Jayapura.
“It is the first GATF in Jayapura, Papua, so this could indeed be a very important thing for the sustainability of the tourism sector in Indonesia,” Arsena said.
The GATF 2023 in Jakarta will be held in Halls 3 and 3A of the Indonesia Convention and Exhibition (ICE), BSD City, Tangerang. The offers include discounts of up to 80 percent on flight tickets, cashback of up to Rp4 million, flash sales at certain hours, and various other deals that are valid for the travel period until October 29, 2024.
Garuda Indonesia will also provide passport services in cooperation with the Directorate General of Immigration during the GATF 2023.
