FIVB Inspects Potential Venue for FIVB Men's World Championship 2025 in Indonesia

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The delegation of the Federation International Volleyball (FIVB) inspected the potential venues for the FIVB Men's Championship 2025 in Indonesia. These venues are located in the Gelora Bung Karno area in Jakarta, namely Indoor Multifunctions Stadium, Istora Senayan, and Tennis Indoor.

"The FIVB delegations inspected the potential venue for the FIVB Men's Championship 2025. The plan is to utilize three venues in the GBK Senayan Area, namely Indoor Multifunctions Stadium, Istora [Senayan], and Tennis Indoor," wrote PP PBVSI in a release cited on Thursday, October 19.

Earlier, Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo met with FIVB delegations to further discuss Indonesia's plan to host the upcoming FIVB Men's Championship 2025. 

FIVB has conducted a number of observations on Indonesia's preparation to host the volleyball championship.

The world championship of volleyball is scheduled to be hosted in Jakarta from September 17 to October 5, 2025. This international championship will be hosted by two countries, that registered to become joint hosts of the FIVB Men's Championship 2025. Aside from Indonesia, Japan also plans to register as a host for this renowned sports event.

Around 32 countries from five continents will be participating in this competition. In total, there will be 64 matches in the championship, with 16 groups competing in Indonesia and the rest will be competing in Japan.
