Aceh Police Destroy 112 kg of Seized Meth

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Aceh Regional Police destroyed 112 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine on Wednesday, October 11. The drugs were seized during the last four months.
While leading the destruction of crystal meth, the chief of Aceh regional police Inspector General Achmad Kartiko asked all perpetrators to be punished heavily, by death if necessary. "Because they are destroying this nation's generation however indirectly," he stated in a press release received by Tempo.
He stressed that the war on drugs must be pushed collectively by governmental agencies and the general public. It could be achieved by increasing the ability to prevent and protect each individual in society.
The prevention measure, he said, could be bolstered by boosting awareness and social resilience in all aspects of the society. In addition, it is necessary to reduce the risk of misconduct by law enforcers.
"We will not stop, we will not let loose and will continue to increase the intensity of the eradication of illegal trade and misuse of drugs," he said.
Achmad expressed his gratitude to the public who has contributed to the prevention and control of drug abuse in Aceh. "Let's continue to bolster our synergy to save the golden generation of Aceh," he concluded.
