Vietjet Air Introduces Jakarta-Ho Vhi Minh Route Opened with Rp0 Ticket Promotion

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A Vietnam-based airline, Vietjet Air, officiated its newest non-stop route connecting Jakarta and the City of Ho Chi Minh. In celebrating the new route, the airline offers ticket promotions for Jakarta-Ho Chi Minh City and Bali-Ho Chi Minh City/ Hanoi routes.
“Indonesian travelers can now get a one-way ticket starting from Rp0 to around Rp900,000 including the tax and additional fees," as written in a statement on Saturday, August 5.
The ticket can be accessed through VietjetAir.com. Users can choose the Jakarta-Ho Chi Minh City route, and the travel time, and then click “find the lowest fare".
The special price ticket could be accessed on every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday until the end of this year. The flying time for this ticket is from August 19, 2023, to March 31, 2024 (not including holidays).
“The airline also offers Sky Care travel insurance for free to passengers in all ticket classes,” said Vietjet Air.
In addition to the new route of Ho Chi Minh City-Jakarta, Vietjet Air would also increase flight numbers of Bali, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hanoi. The airline would offer 84 flights per week between Indonesia and Vietnam starting August 12.
The new schedule will give more options to Indonesian travelers with interesting fares to explore the beauty of Vietnam's nature and culture and its cuisine. This direct route also offers convenient travel options for businesses and tourists which can strengthen the relations of both countries.
Vietjet Vice President Nguyen Thanh Son said that his side was enlighted with the new route of Jakarta-Ho Chi Minh. He said that it would ease the people of Indonesia in visiting Vietnam.
"More direct flights between Indonesia and Vietnam will create more opportunities for seamless travel, and business collaboration, and increase bilateral trade, tourism, and cultural exchanges," he said at the Shangri-La Hotel, Central Jakarta, on Saturday, 5 August 2023.
There will be seven flights per week. One flight will take three hours in modern aircraft.
The flight will depart from Soekarno Hatta International Airport at 13:30 Jakarta time and arrive at Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) in Ho Chi Minh City at 16:40 (local time). Meanwhile, flights from Ho Chi Minh City depart at 09:35 (local time) and arrive in Jakarta at 12:30 Western Indonesia Time.
