TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Metro Police deploy 3,095 joint personnel to guard BRI’s Liga 1 Persija vs Persebaya match at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) main stadium, which is slated to take place on Sunday, July 30, at 7 p.m.
Jakarta Police Chief of public relations Sr. Comsr. Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko said it consists of 2,685 police members, 244 military or TNI members, 166 personnel from Jakarta Provincial Government, and 636 stewards.
“We’re preparing situational traffic engineering at the field,” Trunoyudo said in a written statement on Saturday, July 29.
In addition, the authorities also set preemptive measures and disseminate them to coordinators of Persija and Persebaya supporters.
Trunoyudo calls on the guest supporters of Persebaya to watch the game of Persija Jakarta vs Persebaya Surabaya in their own region. “We appeal to those who are not home supporters to return to their respective areas," he remarked.
