U-19 AFF Women's Championship; Indonesia's Big Match Against Thailand Tomorrow

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's U-19 Women's National Football Team is preparing an effective match scheme ahead of their game against Thailand in the semi-final round of the U-19 AFF Women's Championship. The match will be held in Gelora Sriwijaya Stadium, Jakabaring Sport City Palembang, South Sumantra on Thursday, July 13, at 19:30 p.m.

The national team coach, Rudi Eka Priyambada said that he has asked the team members to focus on implementing a combination of short passes and long kicks straight to the center of the opponent's defense. The team's defense strategy is also prepared to anticipate the opponent's offense pattern. Rudy is confident if the scheme is implemented optimally, Indonesia could win against Thailand. 

Rudi ensured that the team is ready to face Thailand. He believed that the national team is at peak performance.

Thailand was a crowd favorite after achieving 6 points and was the winner of group C in the Championship. Coached by Sawin Jaraspetcharanan, the team scored a clean sheet with 7 goals. Thailand decimated the Phillippines national team 6-0 on Thursday, July 6, 2023, and won over the national team of Myanmar 1-0 in the Athletic Arena JSC Palembang on Monday, July 10, 2023.
