TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) Chairman Erick Thohir said that tickets for the FIFA Matchday exhibition match of Indonesia vs Argentina will be announced on Monday or Tuesday next week. He said that the determination of the broadcast rights holders is still being processed.
“We are in the process of bidding for ticketing and broadcasting rights. So inshallah we will announce it on Monday or Tuesday, including about all matches until the end of the year,” Erick said when met after the inauguration ceremony for new PSSI management at Jakarta Fairmont Hotel, Senayan, Friday, May 26, 2023.
“Argentina’s party delegates ticketing matters to us so because they have share rights, we have to be transparent with them about the projections, the rights,” he added.
The SOE Minister said that a meeting to discuss the issues will be held soon. He also refused to disclose ticket prices for the friendly match. “We’ll hold the meeting later. There is a lot of news about the ticket price on social media and there are even hoaxes, just let it be. I always give statements that must be accounted for, so just wait for it,” Erick emphasized.
Meanwhile, PSSI executive committee member Arya Sinulingga said that the ticket will not be as expensive as tickets for the Coldplay concert. But he stopped short of revealing the detail.
Indonesia is set to face Argentina in the FIFA Matchday match at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium, Senayan, Jakarta on June 19, 2023. The Garuda squad will first face Palestine at the Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya, on June 14, 2023.
