TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A fire broke out at Salak Hospital in Bogor on Friday. The joint team of firefighters, military or TNI, and police eventually managed to put up the fire after about half an hour.

"The fire has been extinguished at 15:00," said Bogor Police Chief Sr. Com. Bismo Teguh Prakoso at the location as quoted by Antara on Friday, April 7.

The police and the joint officers cleaned the location and ensured that it is now safe before installing the police line.

Bismo said that the fire was allegedly caused by a short circuit. He explained that a fire in one of the buildings at the hospital was noticed at 13:20 and about 15 minutes later the fire spread to the buildings next to it.

The officers managed to put up the fire at 15:00 with the support of 14 fire trucks.

According to police provisional data, four rooms at Salak Hospital were ablaze, including the medical examination room and pharmacy installation.

The authorities will investigate the scene on Saturday Morning, April 8, to find out the cause of the fire that broke out at the hospital.
