TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta-owned developer PT Jakarta Proptertindo (Jakpro) ensured that Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) in North Jakarta has met the standard to be set as a home base for the city’s football club Persija. According to Jakpro's vice president for corporate secretary Syachrial Syarif, the stadium’s infrastructure and security system have met the existing standards.
“The entrance and exit flow in the stadium have been prepared. There are also many gates, besides those in the west and east ramp, there are several entrance gates on the third floor,” said Syachrial when met after the meeting with the Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) Commission B on Tuesday, April 4.
Even though it is claimed to have met the standard, JIS has not been decided as the Persija’s headquarters. Syachrial said that he did not know the reason. However, he did not deny that one of the possible reasons was related to the stadium’s rental fee.
“Perhaps Persija has other considerations. Perhaps it is the charter price,” he opined.
Syachrial explained that the rental price for the stadium is different depending on the time of the leasing and which area of the field is used. “It is noted in the rate card. I don't remember the exact rental price, but at certain hours, it starts from Rp90 million.”
Previously, Acting Governor of Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono said that facilities in JIS must be completed before being set as the Persija’s home base. “It must meet the standard. The police suggest that,” Heru said on Monday, April 3.
