TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy displays the Wonderful Indonesia booth at Astindo Travel Fair (ATF) 2023 held on February 23-26 to promote Tourist Villages in Indonesia.

"We facilitate and promote nine tourist villages at the Tourism Ministry booth from the provinces of Banten, Jakarta, West Java, and East Java at Astindo Travel fair 2023," said tourism minister Sandiaga Uno in a written statement received on Saturday, Feb. 25.

It is aimed at introducing the tourist villages to visitors of the ATF 2023 exhibition held under the concept of "Beti Dewi Goes To Mall" which is held for four days at the ICE BSD.

The ministry is facilitating and promoting nine tourist villages at the ministry's booth, namely the Saba Baduy and Sukarame from Banten Province; the Glodok Chinatown and Betawi Cultural Village from Jakarta; and then Mulyaharja, Batulayang, Ciburial, and Hanjeli from West Java; and Tamansari from East Java.

The minister said the travel exhibition initiated by the Association of Indonesian Travel Agents (Astindo) which is held for the 13th time is one of the ways to increase the movement of domestic tourists as the backbone of the Indonesian tourism industry.

Astindo Travel Fair 2023 is held simultaneously in several regions which include Tangerang, Surabaya, Medan, and Bali.
