Fishermen Discover Third Body from Police's Missing Helicopter

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The search and rescue team that was dispatched to look for the missing helicopter on Sunday recovered the body of the third crew late Tuesday evening after a group of fishermen discovered the body in the waters of Manggar, East Belitung. The water and air police (Polairud) helicopter was reported missing on Sunday and confirmed to have crashed not long after.
The third body recovered was insp. Joko Mudo, and leaves one more body that has yet to be discovered.
“The third victim was initially found nearby the Manggar waters of East Belitung,” said the head of the Search and Rescue Bangka Belitung Islands, I Made Oka Astawa on November 30.
Mudo is an NBO 105 helicopter technician who was found by fishermen in Manggar Waters at position 03 02' 57.1" South Latitude, 108 30' 17.7 East Longitude with a radial of 150 degrees/16.5 nautical miles from the incident location.
Anam's body was found by the joint SAR team on the first day of the search. Meanwhile, Lasminto's body was evacuated on the second day of the search for the missing helicopter. "Today the search for one more victim is still focused on Manggar Waters and hopefully the AKP Arif Rahman Saleh victim will be found soon," he said.
