TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta acting governor Heru Budi Hartono announced that he is planning to reopen the City Hall direct complaint program, which was removed during Anies Baswedan's term. The program was initiated back when Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama ruled as governor and deputy governor of Jakarta.
"God willing, tomorrow I will instruct every Jakarta official. There will be [complaint] checkpoints from, let's say, the Regional Secretary and assistants. I will ask for representatives from mayors, where they will take turns," said Heru on Monday, October 17, 2022.
The direct complaint service will be open from 08:00 WIB - 21:00 WIB from Monday to Thursday. The service will not be available on Friday.
Reports and complaints from the public will be accommodated by officials – who will be represented by each and every subregion in Jakarta – and be discussed back at each region where the complaints come from.
The direct complaint service to the City Hall was removed during Anies Baswedan's term. However, the complaint system was replaced by a more flexible system in the form of JAKI mobile app which is integrated with other services.
Previously, hundreds of State Civil Apparatuses (ASN) welcomed the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta, Heru Budi Hartono, who they called returning home, returning to work in the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, at City Hall after being inaugurated by the Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian on Monday, October 17, 2022.
