TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Batik Air, the low-cost subsidiary of Lion Air, is set to introduce a new flight route connecting Indonesia and Singapore, specifically between Soekarno-Hatta Airport or Kualanamu Airport to Changi International Airport starting on July 1.
The air carrier’s corporate strategic communications officer Danang Mandela Prihantoro in a statement on Friday said passengers will be served with the Airbus A320 equipped with 12-seat business class and 144-seat economy class. And a Boeing 737-800NG that has 12 business class seats and 156 economy class seating capacity.
“This fleet is the latest and modern generation delivered by the aircraft companies. All of our fleets are equipped with high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters,” Danang wrote on June 24.
Batik Air is also expanding its cargo flight services, which they say is in line with the development of network connectivity and cargo opportunities in the two countries. This is also to anticipate the demand for leading commodity markets in the Southeast Asia region.
The company proclaims that the new flight route to-and-from Singapore offers added value to travelers intending to connect through Changi.
