Metro Jaya Police Raid Bikini Party in Depok

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Metro Jaya Police raided a bikini party attended by nearly 200 people at Pesona Khayangan residential complex, Depok, in the early hours of Sunday, June 5, 2022.
“It's true that there was such an event on Sunday’s early hours in Depok,” said Metro Jaya Police’s Head of Public Relations Sr. Comr. Endra Zulpan during a press conference at his office, Jakarta, Monday, June 6, 2022.
The police raided the party in a fairly elite housing complex based on reports from the public who were disturbed by the illicit event. Zulpan said his side dismissed the participants who were mostly young people as the party did not have a permit.
Before that, however, the party participants underwent urine tests and none was found positive for using illegal drugs.
The bikini party, Zulpan went on, used an event organizer and was held until the early hours, disrupting the public order. “But we have not determined any suspects yet. We’ll first question organizers of the event,” he concluded.
