TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Jokowi Widodo inaugurated Bambang Susantono and Dhony Rahajoe as Head and Deputy Head of the State Capital Authority or IKN Nusantara on Thursday afternoon, March 10, 2022.
The expert staffer of the Presidential Staff Office, Wandy Tuturoong, considered the duo as a good team to lead the new capital. "If we look at their experiences, they are a pretty good combination in terms of professionalism," said Wandy on Thursday, March 10, 2022.
Bambang Susantono and Dhony Rahajoe are also considered to have complementary skills and experiences. "They have experience in the government and private sector," he added.
Wandy also commented that Bambang has many experiences in the fields of transportation, infrastructure, management, international institutions, and government. Meanwhile, Dhony Rahajoe has been involved in and successfully managing the BSD satellite city for a long time.
As the Head and Deputy Head of the IKN Authority, both are tasked to finalize a number of derived regulations of the IKN Law and complete the organizations. They must also coordinate with the National Development Agency (Bappenas) and ministries that have been preparing the draft bill.
The Head and Deputy Head of the IKN Authority have five years of office term after the inauguration and can be appointed for the same term of office. The details of the duties will be regulated through a presidential regulation.
