TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe Indonesian central government has set the public activity restriction (PPKM) in Jakarta to remain at Level 3 for the next week up to February 28, which is overseen under the Home Affairs Minister’s Instruction No.12/ 2022. Moreover, the number of Covid-19 daily tests have been reduced from 21,285 to 15,283.

The instruction states that daily tests must meet the minimum daily requirement and must target those who are already suspected of Covid-19 and have been in close contact with confirmed cases, Antaranews reported.

Reduced number of tests is due to dynamics of positive cases and confirmed cases, both of which have shown signs of reduction.

Based on the Jakarta Provincial Government data,, the percentage of positive cases as of Monday dropped 17 percent with a high weekly number of people being tested for PCR swabs amounting to 362,314 people.

The number of active Covid-19 cases, namely those who have been treated and isolated at hospitals since February 17, 2022, decreased to 8,185 people, while February 18 decreased to 3,551 people, and February 19 decreased to 1,747 people.

February 20 saw cases decrease by 3,875 people and February 21 decreased by 6,532 people, leaving 65,059 active cases.
