TEMPO.CO, Bogor - Heavy rain in the upstream area of the Ciliwung River, namely Puncak and Cisarua areas, increased the water level at Katulampa Dam (TMA) up to 80 centimeters. Its status is now on Siaga (watch) level 4.
"At 17:02 WIB, the water level reached 80 cm. But now it has started to fall again and at 18:00 WIB, it was already 60 cm," said Katulampa Dam Task Force Coordinator Andi Sudirman to Tempo, Tuesday afternoon, October 12.
Andi said the main reason for the increase in the Katulampa water level was the rainfall in Puncak, which is the headwaters of Ciliwung. As soon as the rain subsided, the water level also decreased.
However, Andi warned residents living near the banks of the Ciliwung River to stay vigilant and be prepared for the risk of flooding due to rain that may occur in Bogor areas such as Cibinong and Depok.
"Stay alert because rain also occurs in other Bogor areas, especially for residents who live along the riverbanks," Andi underlined.
