TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Supervisory Council of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is revising regulations regarding the code of ethics and the code of conduct of employees. Member of the Supervisory Council, Syamsuddin Haris, explained the revision was made to adjust the status of employees who have become state apparatus (ASN).
“It is a logical consequence of changing the status of employees to ASN,” said Haris via text message to Tempo on Sunday, August 22. Haris said the revision has been carried out transparently, adding that the revised draft has been uploaded to the anti-graft body's official page.
Based on the information compiled by Tempo, three regulations will be revised. Among them is the Supervisory Council Regulation (Perdewas) No. 1 of 2020 concerning the Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct.
The two other regulations are Perdewas No. 2 of 2020 concerning the Enforcement and Code of Conduct; and Perdewas No. 3 of 2020 concerning Procedures for Examination and Trial of Violations of the Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct.
The KPK Perdewas No.1 of 2020 will be replaced by Perdewas No. 2 of 2021. Based on the regulation draft, a number of points are revised including those in the values of integrity, the values of synergy, and the values of professionalism.
