TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) launched today, August 19, an online complaint service for the public to report fee cuts in their Covid-19 social assistance or cash aid. The KPK’s deputy for graft prevention Pahala Nainggolan urged inspectors in each region to immediately respond to the complaints.
“I ask all regional inspectors to respond immediately. Not all reports may be true, but not all reports are false. Please make an immediate response,” said Pahala in an online discussion on Thursday, August 19.
Starting today, August 19, the public can file a report directly via the JAGA app or send a WhatsApp message to the hotline number 0811-9897-494.
Pahala said the public, in filing a complaint, must inform about the person who slashed the cash assistance starting from the name, position, nominal amount deducted, as well as the location of the cuts. The complainer must also attach his or her identification number or NIK.
The reporter does not have to be the victim, Pahala added. People can report such misdeeds when they find a neighbor or family whose cash assistance is reduced.
“Do not say an individual and write the location. Indonesia is a vast country. It's hard to find [the perpetrator without detailed information]. At least write the district, so we can convey it to the inspectorate,” said the KPK deputy.
