South Banten to Promote Tourism as Serang-Panimbang Toll Road Open

TEMPO.CO, Serang - The Banten Tourism Agency was actively promoting and marketing potential tourism in South Banten in line with the upcoming operation of section 1 of Serang-Panimbang toll road which connected Serang to Rangkasbitung in the middle of this year.

The agency head Agus Setiawan said his side kept carrying out various promotions and marketing of the region’s potential tourism under the predetermined health protocols against Covid-19.

“We are still promoting Banten tourism via social media. Of course, that includes disseminating the health protocols,” said Agus.

In 2021, Agus said the provincial government would prioritize tourism promotion in South Banten, such as Sawarna Beach in Bayah and its surrounding areas, given the opening of the toll road.

“The construction of Serang-Panimbang toll road is still afoot. We want to explore this opportunity so that it will cause big impacts on the tourism of southern Banten,” Agus said.
