TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises emphasized that there was no commission fee in the distribution of presidential productive social assistance for micro-enterprises.
The ministry’s Deputy for Financing, Hanung Harimba Rachman, said the cash assistance was transferred directly to the recipient's account.
“There is no fee deduction. The administrative costs and account creation is handled by the bank,” said Hanung in a broadcast via the ministry's Instagram @kemenkopukm uploaded on Saturday, Dec. 26.
The cash aid program, he underlined, should not be linked to any loan programs from channeling or lending agencies.
Hanung also responded to the statement made by East Bolaang Mongondow Regent Sehan Salim Landjar regarding the rollout of productive aid for MSMEs which worth Rp2.4 million each.
Sehan asked President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo to evaluate the aid distribution and involve local government.
Hanung clarified that there were misunderstandings and inaccurate information circulating in the public that needed to be rectified. “It is not true that the regional government is not involved. We disseminate it to the provincial, district, and city Cooperatives and MSMEs Agency since this program was about to begin,” he said.
Additionally, the majority of the social assistance recipients, or 44 percent of the 12 million micro-business entrepreneurs, were proposed by the Cooperatives and SMEs Agency throughout Indonesia, Hanung informed.
