Police Investigate Altered Picture of VP Ma'ruf Amin as Pornstar 'Kakek Sugiono'

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The North Sumatra Police spokesperson, Grand Commissioner Tatan Dirsan on Wednesday said that it will launch an investigation on the altered photo of Vice President Ma’ruf Amin with a Japanese adult movie star, which spread on the internet.

The vice president’s picture was altered to replace a known Japanese senior porn actor Shiego Tokuda, which is locally referred to as grandfather Sugiono or ‘kakek Sugiono.’

“An investigation is undergoing by the Tanjung Balai police,” said Tatan to Tempo on September 30. 

However, police have yet disclosed the details of the case and have not announced any suspects as he said it is the task of investigators to announce the details. 

Previously, the delegation of Nahdlatul Ulama's (NU) youth wing GP Ansor in Tanjung Balai filed the police report after a Facebook account under the name Sulaiman Marpaung uploaded the image of VP Ma’ruf Amin. 

Tempo found that the image in question had been deleted by the Facebook account and had only left an apology from Sulaiman.
