SOEs Board of Directors' THR Redirected to Handle Coronavirus

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned Enterprises (SOEs) Minister Erick Thohir announced that the board of directors and commissioners in SOEs will not be receiving annual holiday allowance or THR this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

“Through this, we announce that the board of directors and commissioners will not be granted THR in 2020,” said Erick Thohir in a written statement on Tuesday. 

He assures that the THR funds will be allocated for activities regarding the mitigation of the COVID-19 pandemic.

”We also encourage other corporations to redirect the cost from THR and allocate it to daily humanitarian aid funding mitigation attempts related to the COVID-19,” said Erick Thohir. 

Minister Erick Thohir also asked SOEs board of directors to follow suit and report its execution in the field. This policy is overseen in a circular No.S-255/MBU/04/2020 on holiday allowance for SOEs directors and commissioners.
