TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - COVID-19 spokesman Achmad Yurianto on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, revealed the actual data on the number of patients categorized as ODP (people under monitoring) and PDP (patients under monitoring).
Yurianto said that the total number of PDP amounts to 10,482 people with nearly half of them tested positive for coronavirus infection. "The confirmed positive cases via PCR tests are 4,839 people," he said.
Meanwhile, there are 139,137 people categorized as ODP. Achmad asserted that ODPs are closely monitored to prevent them from becoming a new means of COVID-19 transmission.
ODPs are strongly encouraged to self-isolate themselves or admit to hospitals that treat possible coronavirus cases.
Achmad also announced that 32 laboratories in Indonesia have tested a total of 33,678 samples, resulting in 31,628 rest results produced. From the results, 4,839 samples were tested positive for coronavirus infection and the remaining 26,789 were cleared after being tested negative.
