TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Coffee has become the ultimate drink for most of today's society. It is now part of the modern people's lifestyle, with numerous and various coffee shops available everywhere—offering their own distinct taste and brew.
A mix of several types of coffee with other beverages could be an interesting option for those who cannot handle coffee at its purest form.
In Jambi, for example, the Camp Coffee has the "Kopi Exotis Jambi", which offers a unique, lesser-known flavor.
Camp Coffee owner, Najmuddin said the uniqueness of Kopi Exotis Jambi is the result of the combination of three types of coffees. "It is a mix of Arabica, Robusta, and Liberika blend, all combined into one to create the Kopi Exotis Jambi," the coffeecionado remarked.
Najmuddin said that a coffee blend normally consists of just two types: Arabica and Robusta. "For this one, we added a third," he said, with the purpose of accentuating the different tastes from each.
According to Najmuddin, the idea of combining three types of coffee into one drink first surfaced during a discussion with the Field Farmers Instructors (PPL) at the town of Sungai Penuh.
Najmuddin buys the best coffee beans from farmers. He then sells the Kopi Exotis Jambi for Rp100,000 per 200 grams.
