Sugar Distribution Bribe; PTPN III Director Surrenders to KPK

TEMPO.CO, JakartaDolly Pulungan, the president director of state plantation firm PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN III), has surrendered himself to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The anti-graft body has earlier named Dolly suspect in the alleged bribery of sugar distribution case.

“PTPN III director is already in KPK and undergoing a questioning process,” said Febri, Wednesday, September 4.

KPK named Dolly a suspect along with the trade director I Kadek Kertha Laksana for allegedly receiving bribes from PT Fajar Mulia Transindo, Pieko Njoto Setiadi.

According to KPK, Pieko’s company was entitled to earn the regular import quota of refined sugar during the contract period. KPK suspected Pieko delivered Sin$345,000 to Dolly and Kadek as the fee related to the project.

Febri said Dolly is presently being examined intensively, while Kadek has been detained in Jakarta Military Police's Guntur Jaya Detention Center. “KPK calls on PNO to surrender immediately,” he underlined.
