TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Ministry of Communication and Informatics’ (Kominfo) digital policy expert Dedy Permadi says digital proficiency must be a focal point in facing the digital age, especially for users who communicate through the internet or social media on a daily basis.
“It demands [digital] proficiency to be better,” said Dedy at the Graha Niaga Thamrin in South Jakarta on Tuesday, August 20.
Dedy strongly suggests today’s society bear proficient level of intelligence quotient (IQ), emotional quotient (EQ), and what is now known as a digital quotient (DQ).
“But those three are not enough, it must be added with one more skill that cannot be replaced by robots, which is love quotient (LQ) as Jack Ma once said,” Dedy added.
He also called for people to improve their skillsets in four significant areas that include knowledge, skill, value, and attitude to better understand about digital safety, identity, and digital rides, that he deems closely related to privacy.
