Democrat Party: AHY as Presidential Candidate is Fitting

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Democrat Party's head of advocacy and legal division Ferdinand Hutahaean said that Agus “AHY” Harimurti Yudhoyono will quite possibly have a major chance on becoming a presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election.
Ferdinand said that the executive member – and son of Democrat Party founder – not only has the capacity but also the political vehicle to support his journey into the presidential race.
“AHY has it, his name, capacity, capability, and the vehicle into politics. His name will be taken into account,” said Ferdinand on Wednesday, July 3.
Ferdinand’s statement is a response to a prediction made by the Indonesian Survey Circle (LSI) Denny JA that said Agus Harimurti has a chance on becoming a presidential candidate, among 15 other names that the organization predicts will run as presidential candidates.
Moreover, Ferdinand agrees with the names pitched by Denny JA and predicts that the entire list of names will fill the country’s political realm. However, he maintains that having a political vehicle is as important since the absence of it would hamper one’s chances.
AHY was one of the political identities who was most talked about in the 2019 presidential election as to fill the position as VP candidate.
