TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Elections Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) said 8,204 of the total 29,063 polling stations in the capital were identified as risky.
Jakarta Bawaslu commissioner Puadi said his agency was still identifying the said polling stations in the capital’s five municipalities and one regency.
“According to the temporary results, that is the figure of the polling stations that are risky,” he said on Monday, April 15, 2019.
Puadi said the details of those TPS were as follows: 4,137 in West Jakarta, 239 in North Jakarta, 826 in South Jakarta, 457 in Central Jakarta, 2,448 in East Jakarta, and 57 in Seribu Island Regency.

The TPS were classified as risky according to a number of factors: the use and loss of voting rights due to—among others—the significant number of voters in the additional voter lists (DPTb) and the special voter lists (DPK), campaigns (money politics, hate speech, slanders), possible violations by members of the Polling Station Working Committees (KPPS), and a TPS’ proximity to an election candidate's post or election center.
“We also see possible damage to logistics or voting equipment at TPS,” the Jakarta Bawaslu chief said.
