TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Thousands of people and mass of political party supporting Jokowi - Ma'ruf crowd the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium in the candidates' campaign rally dubbed "Konser Putih Bersatu" (Putih Bersatu Concert), today, April 13.
The campaign team secretary Hasto Kristiyanto claimed more than 100,000 supporters of presidential candidates number 01 had flocked the stadium.
He said that the people came to support the incumbent by their own will, without being mobilized. "This is the power of unity, the politics of truth; because Jokowi and Ma'ruf are good people," Hasto Kristiyanto said on Saturday, April 13.
The campaign team chairman Erick Thohir said one million of mass is predicted to attend and occupy the campaign area that is centered at the GBK's main stadium.
Based on Tempo's observation, the traffic along the road heading to GBK is crowded. The people are also flocking the road along the HI (Hotel Indonesia) area until Semanggi, bringing parties and campaign attributes a few hours before the event is started at 2 p.m. The peak of the campaign rally will be held at 4 p.m.
More than 500 national celebrities, musicians, artists, entertainers, and influencers will participate at the event, including Slank, Addie MS, Bimbo, Ida Royani, Glenn Fredly, Sandy Sandoro, Slank, Yuni Shara, Inul, Iis Dahlia, Ruth Sahanaya, Tompi, Giring, Cak Lontong, and many others. Not to forget the religious and community leaders.
