TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) confiscated ten copies of Indonesia Barokah Tabloid on Friday, January 25. Bawaslu commissioner Puadi said that the unregistered printed media spread in Thousand Islands.
“We have seized it following reports from Panwascam (sub-district election supervisory committee) of Thousand Islands,” Puadi told Tempo via a short message, Monday, January 28.
According to Puadi, the tabloid was sent by an unknown person via the region’s mail and was received by a post mail officer on Friday at 11:00 a.m. local times.

Meanwhile, in Banten, the number reached 8,000 copies, said Bawaslu Banten head Didih M. Some of the copies had spread in the province, while the rest 4,000 copies had been secured.
The Indonesia Barokah tabloid, which is still in its first edition, has a headline that reads Reuni 212: Kepentingan Umat atau Kepentingan Politik (212 Reunion: People or Political Interest).
Bawaslu Jakarta continued to gather numbers of community reports in light of the finding of the mysterious Indonesia Barokah tabloid. Other than in Thousand Island, the media was found in East Jakarta and West Jakarta.
