TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta governor Anies Baswedan will have a talk with Sarana Jaya construction company CEO, Yoory C. Pinontoan, about the progress of the skybridge project in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta. The project’s target has so far been pushed back three times.

"I will have a talk with Pak Yoory first and look at the report. The previous meeting plan had been canceled,” Anies said here on Monday, November 12.

Anies said he had previously scheduled a meeting with Yoory, but it was canceled because the governor had an immediate affair to attend to.

Anies said he had given Yoory a deadline for the skybridge construction, but he opts not to reveal it publicly.

The skybridge construction was first scheduled for completion on October 15 this year, but the deadline was pushed back to October 31. When constructors failed to meet that target, it was delayed again to November 10. To date, the Tanah Abang skybridge, expected to hold 446 merchants, remains unfinished.

Yoory C. Pinontoan admitted the company missed its target and said that the bridge’s entire construction will be fully completed in no longer than 15 days.
