TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A former deputy chair of the House's energy commission, Eni Saragih, will face a trial in the alleged bribery case involving the Riau-1 PLTU (steam power plant) project. Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators have completed the investigation into Eni, a Golkar Party politician.

“The investigation has been completed, and in the near future, a trial is planned to take place at the Central Jakarta District Court,” KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah said on Friday, November 9.

Eni Saragih said she would be cooperative in the trial and would likely reveal the roles of other parties in the case. “God willing, we will see later,” she said at the KPK building in Jakarta.

The KPK has named Eni as a suspect for allegedly accepting bribe money from former Blackgold Natural Resources Limited shareholder Johannes Budisutrisno Kotjo. The KPK suspected that Kotjo bribed Eni to facilitate the project's signing.

Later, the KPK also named former Golkar Party sec-gen Idrus Marham as a suspect in the Riau-1 PLTU case on suspicion of receiving bribe money from also from Kotjo.
