TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The House of Representatives (DPR) inaugurated the substitute for Setya Novanto through the intertemporal change (PAW) announced at the DPR plenary meeting today, Wednesday, October 31.

“Imanuel Ekadianus Blegur replaced Drs. Setya Novanto from the Golongan Karya (Golkar) Party Faction, of the East Nusa Tenggara electoral district II,” said Deputy Speaker of the House Agus Hermanto who chaired the session in Senayan, Jakarta.

Setya Novanto was dismissed after he was named as a suspect in the e-KTP corruption case. The Corruption Court sentenced Setya for arranging the Rp5,84 trillion project. He is now being detained at the Sukamiskin Penitentiary, Bandung, West Java.

The House also announced the former Secretary of the Golkar Party Faction, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, who was appointed as the Minister of Social Affairs to replace Idrus Marham who became a suspect in the corruption case of the PLTU Riau-1 project. Agus’ substitute was Agus Makmur Santoso from the West Java electoral district II.

“Agus Makmur Santoso replaced Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita of the Golongan Karya Party faction in the West Java electoral district II,” said the House deputy speaker.

The DPR also appointed Hasanuddin to replace Etyadi Asda Aru from the United Development Party’s West Sumatra electoral district I, and Abdul Azis to replace Ahmad Denyadi Natakusuma from the PPP Faction in Jakarta electoral district III.
