TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Finance Minister Sri Mulyani revealed the three main characteristics of the millennial generation that must be known by pension scheme managers that is hoped to be a guideline for them upon grabbing the interests of millennials.
“We should be thinking about how to connect with the millennial generation,” she said on Wednesday, September 26. “Millennials are described in three characteristics, in this case is creative, connected, and confidence.” said Sri Mulyani.
The Minister did not forget to remind millennials to start investing for their future by preparing a pension funds scheme. “Don’t start saving for your pension just two years prior to your retirement,” she reminded.
Sri Mulyani argued that millennials are a group that is oriented on the present and lacks anticipative measures for the future, which is why she called for pension fund managers to socialize with millennials upon educating this specific generation about the importance of having a pension scheme.
