Implementation of Jakarta ERP Policy Postponed

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Transportation Agency said the electronic road pricing (ERP) auction is still ongoing. The ERP for the Jalan Sudirman - Thamrin area has not shown any obvious progress. One of the obstacles is determining the winner of the tender.


“The auction is still running. First, I will check it to the paid road implementing unit,” said Head of the Jakarta Transportation Agency Andri Yansyah, Wednesday, September 5.


Jakarta Transportation Agency targets the winner of the ERP auction to be elected in October 2018. The plan is, in that month, the Provincial Administration (Pemprov) of Jakarta together with the winner of the tender will sign the ERP contract. The agency hopes that the ERP can operate in 2019 at Jalan Sudirman - Thamrin.


According to Governor Regulation No. 25 of 2017, the ERP is planned to be expanded to several other roads. The roads include Jalan HR Rasuna Said, Jalan Gatot Subroto, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Jalan Gajah Mada, and Jalan Majapahit.
