KPK Quizzes Witnesses for Idrus Marham on PLTU Riau-1 Fiasco

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) began to probe five witnesses for suspect Idrus Marham in the alleged bribery case of PLTU Riau-1 procurement project today, August 27.


"Five witnesses will be questioned for suspect Idrus Marham today in the alleged bribery of Riau-1 PLTU procurement project," said KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah in his written statement, Monday, August 27.


The witnesses are Temanggung Regent Muhammad Al Khadziq, who is the husband of suspect Eni Saragih, House expert staffer Tahta Maharaya and three private parties namely Rheza Herwindo, Indra Purmandani, and Audrey Ratna Justianty.

Idrus was named as a suspect on Friday, August 24, for allegedly being promised a sum of USD1.5 million in the PLTU Riau-1 project.


To date, KPK has named three suspects, namely former sec-gen of Golkar Party Idrus Marham, the House of Representatives' (DPR) Energy Commission deputy chair Eni Saragih, and Johannes Kotjo as the shareholder of Blackgold Natural Resources Limited, which was one of the consortium companies working on the PLTU Riau-1 project.
