PKB: Jokowi Will Directly Tap Campaign Team Chief

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The deputy chairman of Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin National Campaign Team (TKN), Abdul Kadir Karding, said President Jokowi would directly announce the TKN chief.
“We've never discussed it, this team [comprising the Jokowi camp's secretary-generals) only discussed the requirements,” Karding said at the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin’s winning post in Menteng, Central Jakarta on Friday, August 24.

Karding, who is also the secretary-general of the National Awakening Party (PKB), said he had never heard of any candidates to fill the post, be it possibly former Muhammadiyah chairman Din Syamsuddin or the head of the General Elections Organizers Ethics Council (DKPP), Jimly Asshiddiqie.
"I think if anyone proposes them, it means that they are being appreciated as public figures. As to the decision, we have said since the beginning that it entirely depends on Pak Jokowi," he said.
